The Full Moon
The Full Moon 29/05/2010
As Tears of Blood drip
onto the cracked earth
she sits all alone
on the barren wasteland
A river of blood flows
from her hand
collecting into a pool
on the scorched earth
She looks up to the heavens
the radiant moon is covered
by clouds of frustration
of her pain and sorrow
The double cross on her belly
thorns in flames
vines on her forearms
scarred for life
The chill breeze strokes her hair
caresses her skin
cools her burning wounds
she is numb no more, this Full Moon

Powerful. The last stanza is just awesome. Especially the last line. It gives me shivers to think of the moon on earth.
Thanks… A (somewhat) true story too… Quite Observant…
Do you see the ‘maps’ in this poem?
